Dr. Nadja Dörflinger starts professorship at the sfs

Prof. Dr. Nadja Dörflinger begins the professorship in “Sociology with a focus on societal transformation” at the Social Research Center. The international networked researcher joins from BAuA and provides particular expertise in the areas of labor relations and service/interaction work.

Nadja Dörflinger studied and obtained her doctorate in sociology from KU Leuven in 2016, where she also worked as a research associate. Before being appointed as a professor at the sfs, she worked at the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA).

In her research, Prof. Dr. Nadja Dörflinger focuses on transformations in the world of work, with a particular emphasis on (interactive) service work, comparative labor market research, social inequality, and employment relations.
