Dr. Katrin Bauer presents sfs research at EURAM 2026

At EURAM 2026 in Kristiansand, Norway, sfs researcher Dr. Katrin Bauer presented research from the Social Research Center (sfs) at TU Dortmund University on social innovation in higher education. The conference of the European Academy of Management brings together scholars from different disciplines to discuss management, innovation and how to address societal challenges.

The annual conference of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) is one of Europe’s major events in management and organizational research. The 2026 conference in Kristiansand, Norway, was held under the theme “Navigating High Waters” and focused on how organizations and institutions respond to complex societal challenges.

Dr. Katrin Bauer, researcher at the Social Research Center (sfs), Department of Social Sciences at TU Dortmund University, presented research on the uptake of social innovation in German higher education institutions. The study is conducted at the sfs within the Platform for Social Innovations and Social Enterprises.

The session brought together researchers from different countries and disciplines to discuss how universities can contribute to societal transformation. Topics ranged from institutional change and entrepreneurship education to new forms of collaboration within innovation ecosystems and contributed new impulses for the ongoing research at the sfs.
