Arrival by car

A2:
Exit 13 (Kreuz Dortmund Nord-Ost), direction Derne/Schwerte (B236), 1st exit direction Dortmund-Eving, next traffic lights turn right (Kemminghauser Str.), after 2.7km turn left (Evinger Str./B 54), after 1.1km traffic lights turn left (Deutsche Straße), after 500m on the left is the Evinger Platz.

A40/B1/A44:
From the Bundesstraße 1 (extension A40 or A44) to the intersection B1/B236 direction Lünen, 3rd exit direction Dortmund-Eving.

A45:
Exit Dortmund Hafen, turn left until the intersection Münsterstraße (B54), direction Eving, after about three kilometers turn into Deutsche Straße.

Arrival by plane

From Dortmund Airport, it takes just about 20 minutes to get to Dortmund Central Station by AirportExpress and from there to the university by subway (U-Bahn) 41. The stop is "Zeche Minister Stein". A wider range of international flight connections is offered by Düsseldorf Airport, about 60 kilometers away, which can be reached directly by S-Bahn from the university station. From there, you can get directly to Dortmund Central Station.

Arrival by public transport

From Dortmund Central Station, take the U 41 light rail (direction Brambauer / Brechten). The stop is "Zeche Minister Stein". The Minister Stein Center is located on the right in the direction of travel of the streetcar.

SIKE student workshops on the topic of social start-ups

Flyer for the two workshops "Social Startup as a Career Path" and "From the Idea to the Social Startup". — Die Workshops "Karriereweg Soziale Gründung" und "Von der Idee zum sozialen Startup" wurden im Rahmen des Projekts "Social Innovation through Knowledge Exchange (SIKE)" für gründungsinteressierte Studierende angeboten.

As part of the SIKE project, two online workshops on the topic of social start-ups took place on the 12th and 14th of January 2021, organised by Sabrina Janz and Adrian Götting from the sfs with their project partner Social Impact Berlin and in cooperation with Jens Koller from the Innovation-Lab Bochum.

The target group of the events was primarily students interested in starting a business, who were provided with information on the topic of social entrepreneurship by inputs from Franka Blumrich and Florian Birk from Social Impact Berlin and a contribution from Prof. Dr. Roland Schöttler from the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Rhineland Westphalia-Lippe in Bochum. In the next part of the event, the social start-ups HeimBridge and Movimientos Autenticos and the artist Miriam Smidt presented their founding paths. Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the start-ups and ask questions in breakout sessions.

The second event “From the idea to the social start-up” was about the practical (further) development of ideas. The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Transfer (CET), the Worldfactory of the Ruhr University Bochum, Social Impact Berlin and the start-up consultancy for people with disabilities “enterability” presented various methods such as Design Thinking and Problem Tree.
