Science and innovation pave the way for the future
Two profesors from the Department of Social Sciences have been appointed to the Strategy and Research Council. They are part of a multi-member, interdisciplinary committee that advises the Rector and the Vice-President for Research on strategic research topics.

Prof. Jürgen Howaldt and Prof. Martina Brandt from the Department of Social Sciences have been appointed to the Strategy and Research Council of TU Dortmund University for the new term of office. While Jürgen Howaldt was already a member of the committee, Martina Brandt was appointed for the first time.

Founded in 2023, the Strategy and Research Council is made up of experienced and internationally recognized scientists from TU Dortmund University. It advises the Rectorate on overarching research strategy issues and supports the university in optimizing the framework conditions for research and positioning it in the best possible way in international research competition.
