On March 30, sfs scientists Mathias Cuypers, Adrian Götting and Dr. Michael Kohlgrüber presented key results from the EU projects ESSA and Beyond 4.0 at the 14th IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems. The International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) is an international umbrella organization concerned with automation technology and the concrete societal impact of control technology and automation.

The online presentation, organized by Tel-Aviv Afeka College of Engineering, took a closer look at the concept of skills intelligence and its implementation in sectoral contexts. The aim is to support skills-related decisions, e.g. further training or new hires, by providing relevant information. In this sense, manufacturing systems should not only be intelligent in technical terms, but also in terms of the work of employees.

A paper on the lecture by the named scientists will also be published in the conference proceedings.
