Visiting Bogotá: Sabrina Janz and Dmitri Domanski present the latest results of their work in Colombia

From the 8th to the 10th of April a meeting took place in Bogotá as part of the Erasmus + project "Students 4 Change", in which Dmitri Domanski and Sabrina Janz of TU Dortmund University participated. The Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO) hosted the meeting in Colombia. The detailed exchange between project partners, lecturers, students and university executives took center stage of the event.

The Students 4 Change project aims at promoting social innovation and social entrepreneurship at Latin American universities through the development and implementation of a curriculum. In addition, new opportunities for funding and long-term implementation of social innovation initiatives will be highlighted. The project is being coordinated by the Mexican University of Applied Sciences, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). In total, ten Latin American and five European universities and Ashoka Chile are involved in the project. More information about the project can be found on thehomepage of Students4Change.

From August to December 2018, a total of 48 pilot courses were held in the Latin American partner universities. At the meeting in Bogotá, students presented their results to the project partners, lecturers and leaders from Latin American universities. The pilot courses were discussed and evaluated.

The task of TU Dortmund University is to develop recommendations for support mechanisms, in order to achieve a long-term implementation of the courses. Dmitri Domanski and Sabrina Janz presented the current results of their work and discussed them with project partners and leaders of the Latin American universities.
